Mahâris
Mahâris, which takes its name from the watchtowers the Arabs used to monitor the sea, is the wine that symbolizes the coming together of different styles and cultures. It is a pure Syrah influenced by the Mediterranean warmth of the island. The limestone-infused land that gives it a fruity, mineral elegance.
Vinification
Maceration in contact with skins for a total of 18 days
Aging: 14-16 months in small oak barrels
Aging in bottle: 6 months
Tasting Notes
Color: Ruby red.
Aromas: Notes of black pepper and Asian spices, small berries, essences that bring to mind Mediterranean scrubland, floral notes, hints of leather and cocoa.
Flavor: Boasting intense character and strong personality, with fruit that is expressive and decisive. Soft, velvety, all-encompassing with dense yet smooth tannins and a long, balanced finish.
